It's amazing isn't it that the government has multiple ways to measure inflation?

The three major methods are the Consumer Price Index (CPI), the Producer Price Index (PPI), and the Personal Consumption Expenditure (PCE).

Doesn't that sound like the government is manipulating this information? How then are we and our customers able to ascertain what is accurate and pertinent to our financial situation?
